I love make-up but lipsticks used to be NOT my favorite. I like enhancing my eyes and brows and I tend to focus on that - not too much on the lips. When the matte lipsticks became trendy I figured I have to try it out.
My first matte lipstick purchase was L'oreal liquid matte and I made the wrong color choice - the (112) Guillmet Fuchsia. My second purchase was still from L'oreal - from their Matte Reds collection - Pure Garnet and this time I got it right, I love that kind of red - then my third was from Avon - Pure Pink (which I reviewed also).

Maybelline lipsticks were on sale yesterday --specifically their matte browns. I wanted to try them without spending too much. So I bought 2 shades - Touch of Spice and Burgundy Blush. From its regular price of Php299 - I got each for only Php199 - that's Php 100 off each and I am happy!

These lipsticks are just awesome! They are creamy and glide easily. It looks so matte on my lips yet its not drying.

Touch of Spice - applied lightly, no lipliner

Burgundy Blush - I had to apply lightly and pucker my lips because its too dark but I love it!

Burgundy Blush is my new favorite :-) It's almost like L'oreal's Pure Garnet but this is creamier and easier to apply evenly.

 At work today, I used Touch of Spice. So excited to try it! Here's a snapshot:



Another Maybelline lipstick I have tried is from their ColorShow line. I bought this because its on sale at Lazada for Php165 only. This one's not a matte lipstick - but this is what I found out:

Maybelline Color Show lipstick in Nude Mocha

I like this but its not my favorite. The color looks like a light mauve shade with a bit of peach in it.
The lipstick has a light fruity smell - very creamy and as stated, it is highly moisturized. I do not know about its lasting power because I only wear it for about 2 hours at work then I wipe it off. But overall this one's a good lipstick too.

I just about discovered Maybelline lipsticks are great, at an affordable price! I am very satisfied with all these three lipsticks I bought so I think I might buy more. Will update this page as soon as I get another or more Maybelline lippies :-)
